Minutes, IBIS Quality Task Group September 10, 2024 12:00-13:00 Eastern Time (09:00-10:00 Pacific Time) ROLL CALL Siemens EDA Randy Wolff *, Weston Beal *, Arpad Muranyi Teraspeed Labs Bob Ross Zuken USA Lance Wang * Intel Corp. Michael Mirmak * The Mathworks Graham Kus Everyone in attendance marked by * NOTE: "AR" = Action Required. ------------------------------- MINUTES ------------------------------------- Randy Wolff conducted the meeting. Weston Beal recorded the minutes. Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Review of previous meeting minutes: Minutes from the 02 JUL 2024 meetings were reviewed. Lance Wang moved to approve the minutes. Weston Beal seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved. Call for opens: none AR review: - Randy will discuss financial issue of a new version of ibischk with Tammy. discussion started. Randy will submit budget request before September. Combined into next AR - Randy will continue work on estimating budget and then quoting development of IBISCHK8 parser development. To discuss in this meeting - Randy will create the formal bug report using the information that Michael sent. Done BUG250 New ARs: Discussion: a. New bug report from Michael Mirmak to become BUG251. Michael summarized the idea that the parser continues to check and report errors on the [Ramp] data when the model includes a Ts4file referenced in the AMI file. Should this check be skipped completely or reported as a note? b. Parser contract for IBIS 8.0. Randy has prepared a preliminary development contract. This might be changed as more bugs are submitted. Randy edited the IBIS version as appropriate in the document. He added the approved list of BIRDs for this IBIS version. There could be additional BIRDs from the editorial committee. BRID229 allows for testing AMI for testing BUG(root name). Randy changed the listing of BIRDs at the end of the contract to be summaries. All the details of a BIRD are in the external documetns. BIRD223.1 (SPIM) has a longer summary, since this type of data is new to IBIS. Some cross-checking is needed to the [Pins] data in the IBIS file. Some checking requirements are in the BIRD. Randy added some additional notes about checks that might be implied, but not necessarily documented in the BIRD. This is a large BIRD. It will require a lot of discussion about what the parser will check, and which results are error, warnings, etc. BIRD226 (PSIJ Sensitivity) might need some stronger language to make the requirements more explicit. There are some parameters declared as recommended, but seem to be required. Randy will ask editorial task group for recommendations on the required parser checks. BIRD 229 (AMI config) has many combinations. It references many files with a lot of requirements. We will need to discuss how much of the external files need to be parsed and checked. We expect that Michael Mirmak will assist in explaining the expected checks. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): - none Weston moved to adjourn. Lance seconded. Without objection, the meeting ended. Meeting ended: 1:07 pm ET Next meeting 24 SEP 2024
